The 2024 Freestyle Trampoline World Championships in Barcelona delivered an unforgettable weekend of gravity-defying stunts, electrifying creativity, and global unity. Held as part of the Extreme Barcelona festival in partnership with the Urban World Series, this year's event brought freestyle trampoline to new heights—literally and figuratively. With 83 athletes from 18 countries competing across three categories, the Championships were a breathtaking testament to the growth and vibrancy of the sport.

A Weekend of Firsts and Fierce Competition

This year introduced the highly anticipated Junior Division, showcasing the incredible talent of athletes aged 13-15. Alvin Medailleu from Sweden made history as the first-ever Junior World Champion with an astonishing score of 45.8, setting the stage for future generations to shine.

The Women's Division also brought intense competition, with Maria Petrunicheva from Russia taking the top spot with a score of 42.3. Meanwhile, defending champion Lyydia Peltomaki from Finland secured silver, and Viktoria Derschewizki from Germany claimed bronze.

In the Senior Men's Division, Sebastian (Sebbe) Wennmalm from Sweden dominated with an incredible score of 47.4, earning him the title of World Champion once again. He previously won in 2022, the inaugural year. Evan Rocha of Austria also had an amazing combo with the most creativity, scoring 46.1, to narrowly inch out a silver medal ahead of fan favourite and 2023 World Champion, Robin Steiner of Switzerland with a score of 45.1; rounding out the podium in an exhilarating display of skill and creativity.

A Spectacle for the Fans

The atmosphere at the event was nothing short of electric, with hundreds of fans overflowing the seating area to catch a glimpse of their favorite athletes. From the intense routines to the roaring applause, the energy in Barcelona was a fitting celebration of the sport’s growth.

This year also featured a Family Action Zone sponsored by ACON Trampolines, giving spectators a chance to experience the thrill of freestyle trampoline firsthand. Cirque du Soleil casting was in attendance, scouting for potential new talent—a testament to the increasing recognition of freestyle trampoline as a hub for athletic artistry.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible team behind the event. From the expert judging panel, which included Adam Reynolds, Jake Müeller, Dante Santovenia, Julian Siau and Engelbert Webbink, to the dedicated registration crew led by Maureen & Randy Roe and Edwige Brand, every detail was carefully planned to ensure the Championships ran smoothly.



DJ Dan’s from Toronto kept the energy high with an unforgettable soundtrack, and influencers like Domitrick and Jesse Heffels brought the excitement to life on social media. Live streams hosted by Nico Stary and Greg Roe, our MC extraordinaire, allowed fans worldwide to tune in and experience the action in real time.
